Bridgett Vingoe?

Alas, I can't find my source for claiming that the maiden name of Bridgett, c 1650-1742, the wife of George Dennis, was Vingoe. The parish record for their marriage at St Buryan on 17 January 1673/4 does not give Bridgett's surname. There's no way that I made it up, so the name Vingoe came from somewhere - but where? If anyone can tell me, I'd be very pleased to be contacted. In the meantime, please be aware of this 'qualification' in Chapters 3 & 4 of my book.

  2. Thanks for your input Alan. I agree that all the records show that George Dennis and his wife Bridget/Bridgett had a number of children. But their marriage at St Buryan on 17 Jan 1673/4, recorded on p 77 of Phillimore's Cornish Marriages, does not give the bride's surname. The baptisms for their children don't state her surname either. Never mind, it all happened a long time ago.
