Cow Flat and Glenburn House

When Susan Dennis and her children came to Australia in 1874 they lived for 5-6 years at Cow Flat (between Bathurst and Rockley - see pp 119-123 of From Buryan to Bondi, available online at BookPOD.  Susan's eldest sons George, John and Richard and her son-in-law William Williams (husband of Jane Dennis) worked for the Cow Flat Copper Mining Co and her younger children attended school there.  In a twist of fate, Susan's gr-gr-granddaughter Jennifer Prineas (my sister) has returned to the district. She and her partner Malcolm Allen converted an old school house into a wonderful b&b - Glenburn House. It is highly recommended as a place to stay if you are visiting the Bathurst district.
